Overcoming Addiction EP 108 Olivia Cook

EP 108 RVR Overcoming Addiction with psychotherapist, Olivia Cook.

Millions of People are affected with some form of Addiction

The numbers are staggering; overdoses happen at astonishing rates and many go unreported. Sadly, addiction affects every area of our lives and poses serious risks for a person’s health, wellbeing, and relationships.

Addicted to what?

Drugs, alcohol, sex, porn, shopping, approval,  social media and so much more. No one is immune and many fall prey to the enemy’s scheme to distract us, numb us, and ultimately destroy us. If he can keep us preoccupied with addiction, there’s no need to worry about us living an abundant life. But, we were made for more. (John 10:10)

Can we really overcome addiction?

With over 40 years of experience, Liv helps us to recognize our adversary and learn how to defeat our foe.

“God wants to set people free!” Liv declares.

Like one who takes us to court and has brought a lawsuit against us, our adversary appears to be winning, however, we can know that God is on the move. In truth, He longs to bring healing and restoration in our lives. Though we experience soul wounds, emotional damage, and trauma, overcoming addiction is possible.
